Canada’s Best Managed Companies for a 21th consecutive year
This week, for the 21st year in a row, Les Résidences Soleil – Groupe Savoie was honoured to retain its place in the prestigious and coveted 2024 ranking of Canada’s Best Managed Companies – Platinum Club!
Les Résidences Soleil family is very proud of this recognition, which for the past 21 years has highlighted and celebrated all the efforts we make on a daily basis to build a better future for people in their golden years. The sense of pride is all the greater since, by retaining our status as Canada’s Best Managed for so many years, we maintain our highly prized position within the Best Managed Platinum Club.
Canada’s Best Managed Companies is the country’s leading ranking of excellence among Canadian-owned, privately-held companies. Globally, the Best Managed Companies program is established in over 48 countries.
“Year after year, I am truly grateful for the opportunity to witness and be part of the remarkable accomplishments of the Best Managed Companies, who exemplify the highest business standards of innovation, adaptability, and bold leadership. Their relentless ambition, determined focus, and strategic agility have led them to remain competitive on the world stage, creating sustainable economic growth in an evolving global market. They should be extremely proud of this designation and use it as a catalyst to continue the outstanding work they do every day.”
— Lorrie King, national co-leader of Canada’s Best Managed Companies program and partner with Deloitte Private
The Canadian reference
As a family-owned and entirely private company, we are proud to have achieved complete independence in every one of our real estate projects, from financing and operations to the construction and management of each and every one of our residences across Quebec. This sets us apart from the rest of the market for seniors, and, among other things, enables us to keep the price of our homes within the reach of Quebec’s seniors.
In this way, Savoie Family remains the Canadian reference, not only in the field of seniors’ residences and the services we offer to people of good age, but also in the adoption of a culture of hard work and commitment.
This renewed distinction motivates us to maintain our efforts to offer living environments where all people of good age can benefit from an adapted and safe environment, at an affordable price.
“The Best Managed winners’ continued adaptability in an era of uncertainty sets the standard for how to overcome new barriers and demonstrate resiliency at the highest levels. By leveraging industry leading competencies to maximize their investments and drive sustainable growth, these companies truly impact how Canada is viewed on the world stage when it comes to the success of private business.”
— Derrick Dempster, national co-leader of Canada’s Best Managed Companies program and partner at Deloitte Private
Investing in our teams: a recipe for success
The Savoie Family is infinitely grateful to be able to count on a team of nearly 2,000 passionate and experienced employees who devote themselves daily to the well-being of nearly 7,000 residents.
In fact, this high distinction highlights the management excellence of our fully integrated family business and our 55 years of construction expertise. The Savoie family makes it a point of honour to pay particular and constant attention to the well-being of its employees, through respectful and rewarding internal policies and practices.
“The true success of a company lies in the strength and commitment of its employees, because their hard work and dedication to our residents are the real drivers of our success.”
— M. Eddy Savoie, Owner, Founder and Chairman of the Board, Les Résidences Soleil – Groupe Savoie
A shower of praise
Year after year, Résidences Soleil continues to garner accolades and distinctions, and recently received – also for the 21st consecutive year – the Prix Choix du Consommateurs 2024 (Greater Montreal and Sherbrooke) in the seniors’residences category. This award is also considered a seal of excellence, based on customer satisfaction and public opinion which exclusively recognizes selected companies as outstanding service providers.
Local benefits
An all-Quebec company is more than just a business entity. It embodies a deep commitment to the community and the local economy. Anchored in Quebec, family-owned Les Résidences Soleil is proud to actively contribute to the province’s job creation, skills development and economic growth, while helping to strengthen public infrastructure and services, for the direct benefit of all Quebec citizens.
Canada’s Best Managed Companies awards program
A flagship program of Deloitte Private Companies established in 1993, Canada’s Best Managed Companies program celebrates Canadian companies that stand out as market leaders by demonstrating innovative strategies and capabilities, while showcasing exceptional organizational culture and commitment to achieving sustainable growth.
The Corporate Seal of Excellence not only recognizes the overall performance of companies chosen for the annual awards, but also celebrates sustained growth by acknowledging the efforts of the entire organization, not just financial performance.
Recognizing the merits of Canadian-owned and managed companies that have, among other things, created value through innovation, this national business awards program is the country’s most enduring initiative to recognize the excellence of Canadian private companies.
