Club Optimiste de Beloeil: the importance of Community support
Mr. Eddy Savoie, owner, founder and Chairman of the Board,
Les Résidences Soleil – Famille Savoie
In addition to being a gastronomic event, the Club Optimiste de Beloeil’s Souper Festin Homard is also, and above all, an annual opportunity to get together in support of a noble cause.
The highlight of the evening was an inspiring speech by M. Eddy Savoie, whose commitment to the community, young and old alike, extends far beyond the boundaries of age. The entire thread of his address to the guests present was a reminder of the importance of community support and mutual aid, and he expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed, from near and far, to the success of the evening, including the wonderful volunteers!
Filled with sincerity and passion, his speech was warmly applauded. As one of Quebec’s pioneers in the field of retirement complexes, Mr. Savoie is well aware that, by fostering mutual aid, the community support that follows helps create a more inclusive, resilient and relevant environment. It responds to the needs of the most vulnerable while promoting civic engagement, reinforcing a sense of belonging and shared responsibility.
In short, for the Savoie Family, community support is a fundamental pillar for the harmonious and sustainable development of any society. Conscious of having been spoiled by life, she wishes to give back to society by getting actively involved with numerous organizations to provide help and support.
« We consider ourselves blessed, and we want to give back, because we believe it’s possible to make a difference in these people’s lives. »
